The Poppy Girls is a British girl group for the fundraising campaign on the occasion of the 2013 Poppy Appeal of the Royal British Legion has been compiled.
history
The five girls Megan Adams, Florence Ransom, Alice Milburn, Bethany Davy and Charlotte Mello were schoolgirls between the ages of ten and 17 and daughters of soldiers in the Armed Forces . They were selected from more than 1000 applicants after an online casting .
Together they recorded the song The Call (No Need to Say Goodbye) by the American singer Regina Spektor . On November 9, 2013, they performed live at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall . The next day the title was released as a single and reached number 13 on the UK charts. All proceeds from sales go to the Royal British Legion's charities.
