The Rattler in Six Flags Fiesta Texas ( San Antonio , Texas , USA ) was a wooden roller coaster manufactured by Roller Coaster Corporation of America , which opened on March 14, 1992. On August 4th, 2012 it was closed to make way for the Iron Rattler roller coaster .
The 1548 m long route, which was adapted by John Pierce to the site of Six Flags Fiesta Texas, originally had a 51 m high first drop . In the course of the first four years after the opening, however, this was rebuilt, which then had a height of 38 m with a slope of 61.4 °. The total height was 55 m and the trains reached a top speed of 105 km / h. As a special feature, Rattler had a tunnel through a limestone mine cliff.
Trains
The Rattler owned two trains made by the Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters , each with five cars. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car.
