The Slovak Spectator (or Slovak Spectator ) is the only English language newspaper in Slovakia . It has been published by The Rock sro company since March 1st, 1995 and deals with local news, culture and economy. In the beginning the newspaper appeared once every two weeks, from September 1998 it appeared once a week. The society also publishes five yearbooks a year, for example the Spectacular Slovakia travel guide.

Its target groups are foreigners who work or live in Slovakia, Slovaks with a good knowledge of English , university students, foreign companies in Slovakia, embassies and foreign Slovaks.

Via the publishing company Petit Press, the newspaper is related to the Slovak national newspaper SME and the Hungarian-language newspaper Új Szó .
