Theater am Michelsberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Theater am Michelsberg (abbreviation: TaM ) is a theater in the historic old town of Bamberg .

The Theater am Michelsberg was called the Galli-Theater Bamberg until 2007 and played almost exclusively pieces by the German author and clown Johannes Galli . On April 1, 2007, it was renamed after its venue on the Bamberg Michelsberg and has since performed pieces by other authors.

It offers theater performances mainly for children, but also theater and cabaret for adults, as well as lectures and workshops. Its motto is We create space , which is why it also offers other artists and authors who are not employed at the theater a stage and invites them to guest performances. Under the motto You are theater , the audience is invited to intervene in the action on the stage and try out themselves playfully. A fairy teller asks children to act out the fairy tale.
