Theater version

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In connection with musical productions that are performed in modern arenas or large multi-purpose halls, the term “ theater version” can refer to a specific stage and seating arrangement. In contrast to rock and pop concerts, which are also held in arenas or multi-purpose halls, the stage is set up exactly in the middle of the arena, i.e. moved to the front. The free space created behind the stage is separated from the auditorium, usually with curtains. The room layout that is created in this way is comparable to that of a classic theater hall with a so-called peep - box stage . The seating is here in front of the stage.

This meaning of the expression is not to be confused with the colloquial usage in the sense of the dramatization of a literary work.
