Theo Rous

Theodor "Theo" Rous (born December 30, 1934 in Oberhausen ) is a former German sports official .

In his youth, Rous was active as a middle-distance runner at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen .

From 1980 Rous was a member of the board of the North Rhine Athletics Association, from 1984 to 1993 he was its chairman. From 1993 to 2005 he was Vice President of the German Athletics Association (DLV), since then he has been Honorary President of the DLV. In 1990/91 he was head of a commission for anti-doping measures in the DLV. From 1994 he was anti-doping officer in the DLV.

He is a retired Senior Director of Latin and Sports Studies.
