Theodore (died 1078 ) was Bishop of Novgorod from 1069 to 1078 .

Life

Theodore was a monk in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra . In 1069 he became Bishop of Novgorod. Around 1071 he opposed a Slavic priest who had a great response in the city. Prince Gleb then had him killed. Theodor died in 1078 after being bitten by a dog . He was buried in the St. Sophia Cathedral in Novgorod.
