Theoctist the monk
Theoctist the monk ( ancient Greek Θεόκτιστος ο μοναχός Theóktistos ho monachós ) was a song poet and melodic of the 12th century.
Two monthly books for November and April from his hand have been preserved. It also includes musical notations and insightful advice for singers. The manuscripts are in the Bibliothèque nationale de France .
