Thomas Gajda

Thomas Gajda (born July 17,  1989 ) is a former German basketball player .

Life

The two-meter-tall winger played for TG Werste and BBG Herford before moving to the Paderborn Baskets  , for whom he played in youth and made his debut in the basketball league during the 2006/07 season  . In the summer of 2017, he took part in the European Championship of this competition class with the German U18 national team. By 2009 Gajda had played a total of 20 short appearances in the Bundesliga for East Westphalia. After relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA  , he played for Paderborn at the beginning of the 2010/11 season. In the 2013/14 season, Gajda, who suffered from hip problems, made a short return to the field after a two and a half year break from basketball in the shirt of regional league team BBG Herford.

In the 2014/15 season he coached Paderborn's U16 team in the youth basketball league , after having previously looked after other youth teams at the club.
