Thomas Gruberski (* 1974 in Warsaw , Poland ) one in which Switzerland living composer and musician of electronic music .

General

At the age of five, Gruberski moved with his parents to Basel , where he has lived ever since. As a child he had already come into contact with synthesizers and became interested in them and the technique of making music. After he bought his first synthesizer at the age of 16, he began to experiment and compose his first instrumental pieces , which one year later became his first (mini) album, Back to Metropolis . A few years later, Cinemascope was his first full album, which, like his later albums, was written in the typical Gruberski style: rhythmic and melodic synth music that was clearly inspired by his favorite musicians - including Jean Michel Jarre and the synthipop band Alphaville has been. He also wrote various jingles , including a. for the Basler TV channel Tele Basel and the radio station Radio X . The production Protuberance is an album consisting entirely of cover versions of well-known Jarre pieces (such as Oxygene , Equinoxe or Rendez-vous ), which Gruberski wrote for a Belgian Jarre fan club . In 2000, the album Spacetime Adventures was released, which again only contained original compositions. The next album (working title: "The Prometheus Project") is currently in the development phase.
