Thomas Kind (born May 5, 1966 in Brehna ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). From 2009 to 2014 he was a member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life and work

Child is an educationalist. From 1992 to 1994 he worked as a social worker and from 1999 to 2007 as a social pedagogue at various companies. He then worked at the Delitzsch district office in northern Saxony until he moved into the state parliament of Saxony.

Thomas Kind is married and has two children. He is non-denominational.

politics

Kind joined the SED in 1986 and later became a member of the PDS and the Left. He was chairman of the local association and is deputy district chairman. He has been on the Taucha City Council since 2004 . In September 2009 he entered the state parliament of Saxony on behalf of the left. There he was a member of the Committee on Economics, Labor and Transport, in the Committee on Petitions. He was also one of the deputy chairmen of the left parliamentary group. He ran his citizens' office / parliamentary office in Delitzsch.

From April 2012 he was one of 19 members of the Saxon NSU investigative committee “Neo-Nazi Terror Networks in Saxony”.

In the 2014 state elections , he missed re-entry into the state parliament at number 32 on the list.
