Thon Dian Phao

The Thon Din Phao ( Thai โทน ดิน เผา ) is a drum that can be played on one side and is used in the northeast of Thailand , the Isan .

The sound body consists of a clay vessel, over one opening of which the skin of a snake or a frog is stretched. The diameter is between seven and thirteen centimeters. The length of the instrument is about 20 to 30 centimeters.

The Thon Din Phao is played in an ensemble in tam-bun processions.
