Thorsten Haas (born December 31, 1966 ) is a German football coach .

Coaching career

He started his coaching career at Schleswig 06 . Due to his successes (including his near promotion to the league), larger clubs quickly became aware of the young coach. In 1999 he became assistant coach at Holstein Kiel under Michael Lorkowski, but was released again at the end of the season. He was then assistant coach at VfL Osnabrück until April 7, 2004 under Frank Pagelsdorf . When he was dismissed, Haas took over the position as interim coach until the end of the season. In 2004/05 he worked again under Pagelsdorf at Al-Nasr Sports Club . From July 1, 2007 he acted as a scout at FC Hansa Rostock, which was also trained by Pagelsdorf. After Pagelsdorf's leave of absence on November 10, 2008, Haas also temporarily acted as co-trainer at the side of interim trainer Juri Schlünz until a new coaching team was signed on November 21, 2008. His contract, which expired in summer 2009, was not renewed.
