Thorsten Quaeschning (born February 23, 1977 in Berlin ) is a German musician, composer and producer.

Since 2005 he has been a member of the Tangerine Dream group .

biography

Quaeschning received flute, piano and violin lessons as a child. This was followed by singing and drum lessons as well as studying classical music and composition.

In 2003 he founded the band Picture Palace Music . In the same year Quaeschning started working as a technician for Tangerine Dream and in 2005 he finally became an official member of the group. Thorsten Quaeschning has been the band's musical director since the death of founder Edgar Froese in January 2015. The album Quantum Gate was released on September 29, 2017 for the 50th anniversary .

2017 Quaeschning published together with Ulrich Schnauss album Synthwaves on the label Azure Vista Records . In 2018, the soundtrack Cargo, composed by Thorsten Quaeschning, was released on Invisible Hands Records in London .
