"Thrustmaster 2 in 1" dual trigger for the personal computer and the PlayStation 2

Thrustmaster is an American company that has specialized in manufacturing joysticks and thrusters for personal computers , PlayStation 2 , PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 since the early 1990s .

The products were well received by the large fan base of PC flight simulators in the 1990s. With the Thrustmaster T1 and T2 models (with pedals), the company was a pioneer in 1996 in the field of PC steering wheels for racing games.

In 1999, Thrustmaster was taken over by the Guillemot Corporation , which also meant an opening to the mass market and thus a different product strategy. The only reminiscence of the earlier times of the hardware manufacturer was the so-called Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar , which was offered at prices around 250 euros and, according to its name (Hands on Throttle AND Stick), consists of a joystick and a separate throttle control. The successor product has been the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog for several years , which is a very detailed replica of the flight controls of an A10 Thunderbolt and is characterized by a high-quality all-metal construction. The selling price is over 300 euros.
