The Thung Thalay Luang Stadium ( Thai สนาม ฟุตบอล ทะเลหลวง ) is a football stadium in Sukhothai in Sukhothai Province , Thailand . It is currently mainly used for soccer games and is the home stadium of the Thai first division side Sukhothai Football Club . The stadium , built in 2015, initially had a capacity of 9,500 spectators. The stadium is owned by the Sukhothai Provincial Administration Organization. The stadium is operated by the Sukhothai FC club.

The stadium has been approved by the Asian Football Confederation , or AFC for short, for games in the AFC Champions League . After the stadium was converted to 8,000 seats at short notice, Sukhothai FC played a preliminary round match for the AFC Champions League against first division club Yadanarbon FC , which is part of the Myanmar National League , on January 31, 2017 .
