With the TiVo you can save TV programs on a hard drive and watch them again if necessary. There is an extensive electronic program guide ( EPG ) with an integrated series recording function (Season Pass). The manufacturer of the set-top box is the company of the same name TiVo Inc.

TiVo has gained such popularity in the United States that the name TiVo is used interchangeably for hard disk recorder and the process of recording. The service is currently only available in the United States, Canada , Australia , Taiwan , Mexico , Spain , the United Kingdom, and Sweden . In addition to time-shift television, there is an intelligent learning function that records television programs according to the owner's taste.
