Tianjin Museum and Yinhe Park

The Tianjin Museum ( Chinese  天津 博物馆 , Pinyin Tiānjīn bówùguǎn ) is the largest museum in Tianjin , People's Republic of China . It was founded on December 20, 2004 by merging the Tianjin Art Museum with the Historical Museum. The director is Chen Zhuo.

The spectacular new building in the Hexi district is one of the largest buildings in the People's Republic of China with an area of ​​31,400 m² and is supposed to resemble a flying swan. The museum houses over 150,000 exhibits on the culture and history of Tianjin on three levels. One of the most famous is the bronze vessel Tai bao ding ( 太保 鼎 ) from the time of the Western Zhou dynasty .
