Kleinenmarpe is an agricultural village in the Lipper Bergland and since 1970 one of 19 localities in the city of Blomberg in the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Kleinenmarpe is about eight kilometers west of the city center of Blomberg. Around 140 inhabitants live in Kleinenmarpe on an area of 3.44 km², which corresponds to a population density of 41 inhabitants / km². The mayor has been Gustav Nullmeier since 2011 (as of September 2018), a nephew of the long-time incumbent Günter Nullmeier.

In Kleinenmarpe there is still a full-time agricultural business and several part-time businesses. The infrastructure includes a cattle trade, a mechanical engineering company, a village community room in the old school and a retirement home. In terms of clubs and groups, there is the Heimatverein, a folk dance group, a hunting association and, together with the neighboring Dalborn, a senior citizens' club.

history

Kleinenmarpe was first mentioned in 1108 and celebrated its 888th anniversary in 1996. The former mayor Willi Lesemann created a village chronicle from old records and his own research; This shows that the oldest building that exists today is the shrine courtyard, built in 1518. The bell from the former chapel, which now hangs in the tower of the old school and dates from 1393, is even older.

In April 1589, Catharina Hilker and two women from Donop were victims of the witch hunt . They were charged in Blomberg, sentenced to death and executed at the stake .

The school was closed in 1968, and elementary school students are now taught in neighboring Großenmarpe . The former school building was converted into a village community center in 2000 by the village community .

On January 1, 1970, Kleinenmarpe was incorporated into the city of Blomberg.
