Tintrup has been one of the 19 localities in the city of Blomberg in the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1970 . Tintrup is about four kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Blomberg. In Tintrup, 332 people live on an area of 2.91 km², which corresponds to a population density of 114 inhabitants / km². The current mayor is Thomas Spieker ( CDU ) (as of December 18, 2017).
history
The name trup means -dorf and a total of seven places in the Blomberg Basin have this ending in their name. Tintrup was called Tydendorp around 1411 and was first mentioned in a document. The places with the ending trup are among the oldest settlements in Lippe and emerged between the 6th and 8th centuries AD as part of the old Saxon settlement. The Tintrup estate was built in the 13th century by Florin von Friesenhausen .
On January 1, 1970 Tintrup was incorporated into the city of Blomberg.
Infrastructure
In Tintrup's public facilities there is a village community room, a kindergarten and a sports field. The Tintrupers go to the Protestant church in Reelkirchen, two kilometers away, while the schoolchildren have to go to the primary school there. In terms of businesses and shops, you will find two full-time agricultural businesses, a fruit farm and a carpentry shop.
The Tintrup club life takes place in the village committee, in the brick and craft club, in the sports club FC Tintrup, in the Tintrup tractor team, in the women's choir, in the men's choir and in the senior club.
