Tidra ( Arabic تيدرة) is an island in the Atlantic Ocean belonging to Mauritania . The sandy island is located east of the island of Kijji , off the coast of the Banc d'Arguin National Park . It has a length of about 24 km and a width of up to 8 km. Administratively, Tidra is part of the Dakhlet Nouadhibou administrative region . The Imraguen coastal fishermen live on the island .
