Tummy tongs

Crucible tongs made of metal

The abdominal tongs (also known as crucible tongs ) are tools that are used to hold crucibles and similarly shaped objects. The gripping parts at the front ends are semicircular in shape and directed towards each other so that they form a circle when the pliers are closed. With the tummy tongs you can safely grasp and hold crucibles, hold metals while they are glowing or carry out similar work.

Crucible tongs are used in the chemical laboratory.
