Tierberger feud

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tierberg feud was a war of feud between the Lords of Stetten and the Lords of Hohenlohe over the right of withdrawal at Tierberg Castle , now the municipality of Braunsbach . The conflict, which has been smoldering since 1474, reached its climax in 1488 with the siege of Stetten Castle . In 1489 and 1495 the dispute was settled legally.

This case was of general importance in terms of imperial politics, because it was here that the emperor and the imperial princes also fought their dispute over imperial reform .
