Graphic tiles based variant of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup .

Tile engine is a collective term for certain game engines for two-dimensional graphics. The playing field is put together with the help of tiles , usually small square graphics. This can easily be described using a multi-dimensional data field that maps the columns and rows of the playing field grid. Each value in it then stands for a specific tile. So you can easily design different playing fields and sections of the game. The grid concept enables figures to be moved relatively easily and collision queries . Iso-Engines are a sub-category of Tile-Engine .
