Till Hoffmann

 Till Hoffmann  (born May 20,  1996  in  Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German pianist .

Life

Hoffmann received his first piano lessons at the age of six. Since 2005 he has been studying with Nella and Andrej Jussow at the Stuttgart Music School, where he also took part in the preparatory training.

At the national competition of Jugend musiziert he won first prize in 2014 with the highest number of points in the “piano solo” category. In October 2013 he won 1st prize at the 8th Köthener Bach Competition for young pianists. In 2014 he received a scholarship from the Werner Haas Foundation. In July 2015 he won the main prize and eleven other prizes at the Munich Youth International Piano Podium.

From the winter semester 2014/15 he studied piano at the Karlsruhe University of Music in the class of Kaya Han , and since the winter semester 2018/19 he has been a master's student in Bernd Goetzke's class at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media .

On July 16, 2016, he won the first prize, endowed with 10,000 euros, at the TONALi music competition in Hamburg. In the final he played under the direction of Kristiina Poska  with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen in the Hamburg Laeiszhalle .

Till Hoffmann is a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation .
