Tisiphone (daughter of Alkmaion)
Tisiphone ( Greek Τισιφόνη ) or Teisiphone (Greek Τεισιφόνη ) is the daughter of Alkmaion and Manto in Greek mythology .
When Manto is sent to the Oracle of Delphi , Alkmaion entrusts his children to the Corinthian king Creon . Jealous of Tisiphone's beauty, Creon's wife Merope sells her as a slave. Alkmaion buys it, not knowing that it is his daughter. Only when he returns to Corinth to bring his children back does he recognize them.
