The Diocese of Chioggia ( Latin : Dioecesis Clodiensis , Italian : Diocesi di Chioggia ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church around the Italian city of Chioggia .
It is a suffragan of the Patriarchate of Venice and includes 68 parishes. The diocese was established in the 7th century with its seat in Malamocco . As a result of a natural disaster, Bishop Enrico Grancarlo moved his seat to Chioggia, probably around 1106/07, and built the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta there , which was completed in 1110.
