Angelo Daniel

Angelo Daniel (born October 12, 1933 in Montebelluna , Treviso province , Italy ) is Bishop Emeritus of Chioggia .

Life

Angelo Daniel was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Treviso on June 24, 1956 . In 1989 he was appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Treviso .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Chioggia on November 27, 1997. He was ordained episcopate on December 13th of the same year by the Bishop of Treviso, Paolo Magnani ; Co- consecrators were Alfredo Magarotto , Bishop of Vittorio Veneto , and Antonio Mistrorigo , Bishop Emeritus of Treviso. The ceremonial inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on January 6, 1998.

On January 10, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
