Titeuf is the main character in the comic strip of the same name by Philippe Chappuis, better known under his pseudonym Zep .

Titeuf is a ten-year-old boy in a purple t-shirt, blond curly hair and red shoes. He slowly discovers the fascination of girls, although he does not always succeed in charmingly wrapping them around his finger. The comic books each contain around 45 short stories, each of which has space on one page.

Fourteen volumes have been published in German translation by Carlsen Verlag . The volumes are numbered 0–13. Volume 13 Willkommen in der Pubertät was most recently published in German in 2016 .

For Titeuf Zep 1996 received the Alph'Art Jeunesse and 2003 the Alph'Art du Public at the International Comic Festival in Angoulême .

Movies

In 2001 a Titeuf cartoon series was created, the first season of which was shown in Germany in 2002 at KiKA . Two more seasons ran in France.

In 2011 the animated film Titeuf, le film was released . It was based on a script by Zep, who was also responsible for the direction.
