Titus Flavius Claudianus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Titus Flavius Claudianus was a Roman politician living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated March 23, 179, proves that Claudianus 179, together with Lucius Aemilius Iuncus, was a suffect consul ; they probably belonged to the second nundinium .

Possibly he is identical to Titus Flavius Quirina Claudianus , who is mentioned in an inscription.

Remarks

  1. According to Cornelia Römer , the two are identical; according to Margaret M. Roxan , the consul of 179 may be the father or uncle of Titus Flavius Quirina Claudianus .
