Reconstruction of a Tivolis

Tivoli is a ball game named after the Italian city of Tivoli .

Similar to a pinball machine, the ball is transported to the upper edge of the playing field via a trigger mechanism. As with pachinko , the player can no longer influence the ball. The playing field is an inclined plane sloping towards the player or is vertical. The ball is deflected by several nails on its way to the bottom of the playing field and falls into pockets at the bottom, which are assigned various profit points.

In 1975, the Swiss Federal Supreme Court banned the use of Tivoli play equipment due to frequent manipulation to the detriment of the players.
