Tobias Gmür (born October 10, 1973 ) is a Swiss singer, guitarist, musician, producer and songwriter from Lucerne .

Life

In the early 1990s, Gmür first achieved national fame as the frontman of the band Mothers Pride. Until the summer of 1999 he was part of the founding team of Radio 3fach . He was music director and moderated the programs Gaffa, 3wach and Stosszyt. In 2007 he founded a recording studio in which since then several local and international bands and artists have been recorded under the name Chevalac Recordings . The most important and successful artists include the British Goldheart Assembly from London, Alvin Zealot and Mothers Pride from Lucerne. Since the release of his first solo album Worldfamous In My Hometown in 2012, he has also been known regionally as a solo artist.

In 2013, a group of non-commercial musicians released a tribute album to the cabaret artist and comedian Jack Stoiker from Eastern Switzerland , on which cover versions of Stoiker's songs can be heard. With Herbscht i de Alpe , Gmür was also represented on the CD.

In February 2014 he released his first single S'Länke ged / S'Länke nemmt in Swiss German , followed in March 2015 by the album Sincerely, T. Gmür (LimmatRecords).

Gmür is the brother of the journalist Heidi Gmür and the filmmaker Till Gmür and is married.
