Tobias Neuber

Tobias Neuber (born August 15, 2000 in Füssen ) is a German alpine ski racer. He is the German youth champion in downhill and super-G and currently drives for the Marktoberdorf ski club.

Life

Tobias Neuber comes from a sports-loving family and was two and a half years old when he skied for the first time. At the age of six he started in the racing group of the Marktoberdorf ski club and drove his first race at the age of eight.

Career

At the age of eleven, Tobias Neuber from the Ostallgäu base was spotted and accepted into the regional squad. As a result of various successes, she was accepted into the elite winter sports school in Berchtesgaden in 2014. Neuber graduated from high school there in 2018. He was then accepted into the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr and the national team. In 2018 he became German youth champion U18 in downhill skiing in Garmisch. Neuber is the youngest and currently the only young German speed driver who managed to score European Cup points.

Even at a young age, Neuber had to accept several serious injuries. Including a broken collarbone, a tendon tear at the middle finger joint and a break in the ankle.

In 2020 he finished 7th in the year-old world rankings in the downhill section.
