Tokamak à configuration variable
The tokamak à configuration variable ( TCV ) is an experimental nuclear fusion reactor of the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), it is used for research into nuclear fusion . The reactor was commissioned in 1992 with the first plasma in November. In 1997 a lifetime of the plasma of 2 seconds was reached. Renovation work was carried out from 2015 to 2016, in particular new divertors were installed.
