The Tolkien Ensemble is a Danish ensemble with the aim of creating "the world's first complete musical interpretation of the poems and songs from The Lord of the Rings ".

The ensemble was founded in 1995 by Caspar Reiff and from 1997 to 2006 released four CDs and a collector's box in which all poems and songs from The Lord of the Rings were musically implemented. The collector's box contains all the songs from the previous CDs, but some pieces have been re-recorded and the order has been adapted to the books. The project was supported by both the Tolkien Estate and the publisher HarperCollins . Queen Margrethe II of Denmark allowed her illustrations to be used in the CD layout.
