The Tollboden is a listed building in the Norwegian city of Stavanger .
It is located on the east side of the port of Vågen at Skansegaten 2
Architecture and history
The building was built in 1905, according to other information in 1907, as a new customs office , after which the old customs office Gamle Tollbod had become too small. The representative building was designed in Art Nouveau and Neo-Baroque forms based on a design by the architect Schak Bull . The year 1905 and the word Toldbod are affixed to the southern facade .
Today (as of 2017) there is a restaurant in the building facing the water.
