Ton Duc Thang University

The Ton Duc Thang University , ( viet: Trường Đại học Tôn Đức Thắng ; en: Ton Duc Thang University ) is a semi-public private university in Ho Chi Minh City , Vietnam .

The university was founded in 1997 as the Ton Duc Thang University of Technology ; In 2003 the university was renamed Ton Duc Thang University under the leadership of the Vietnamese People's Congress. It is named after the Vietnamese politician and President Ton Duc Thang (1888–1980).

The school teaches about 22,500 students; Rector is Le Vinh Danh (as of 2007).

Chau Dieu Ai, former rector of the Ton Duc Thang University for Technology, is a board member of the Vietnamese-German Society HCMC.
