Tonneau (watch shape)

Tonneau (French for 'barrel') is a shape of a watch case reminiscent of an upright barrel . The two sides of the housing can be curved or straight (i.e. rectangular on edge).

The tonneau Enclosures as well as the Oval one of the rarer forms watch case compared to the usual, mostly round or rectangular shapes. The variant of the tonneau with curved sides is known as Cintrée Curvex (French for 'arched').
