Tony Attwood

Tony Attwood (born February 9, 1952 in Birmingham ) is a British clinical psychologist . He specializes in Asperger's Syndrome and has published numerous books and other media on the subject. The best known book, translated into numerous languages, is Asperger's Syndrome ; The German title is Das Asperger Syndrome: The successful practical handbook for parents and therapists and is now in its 4th edition.

biography

He became interested in psychology for the first time at the age of fourteen and in 1971, after meeting two autistic children, decided to specialize in autism , particularly Asperger's syndrome . Today he lives in Queensland , Australia . Since 1992 he has been running a clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of children and adults with Asperger's syndrome together with the child psychiatrist Brian Ross.
