Tony Ballard
Tony Ballard is a booklet series from Bastei-Verlag . From 2005 to 2014 it was published as a paperback series by Zaubermond Verlag. Since December 2014 it has been continued with new adventures with Joachim Otto's ROMANTRUHE.

The first issue of the stand-alone series ( When they climb out of the graves ... ) appeared on October 1, 1982, the last volume ( Die Hölle dies! ) On April 30, 1990. A total of 200 volumes of the standalone series. Before that, between 1974 and 1982, 67 novels were published in the ghost crime series. The first adventure appeared as Volume 47 of the ghost crime thriller ( Die Höllenbrut ).
On August 25, 1992, a new Tony Ballard novel appeared in the Demon Land series : Evil Lives . The plot follows on from volume 200 of the stand-alone series.
Since March 2005, Zaubermond-Verlag has been publishing new adventures in hardcover format, the plot of which begins at the end of the Demonenland novel. This series was discontinued with volume 40, but is continued by the romantic rest in the form of paperbacks. So far 21 volumes have been published here. This means that a total of 390 Tony Ballard novels have been published, as both the hardcover by Zaubermond Verlag and the Romantruhe paperbacks each contain two novels. Most of Friedrich Tenkrat's novels were written under the pseudonym AF Morland.
The radio plays for the novel series have been published by Dreamland Productions since November 2007 .
action
The series tells the story of the private detective Tony Ballard , who fights vampires and demons together with his friends (including the silver demon Mr. Silver ) . The stories are comparable with the series Ghostbusters John Sinclair , which is also published by Bastei-Verlag. The biggest difference between the two series is that John Sinclair is primarily a mix of crime and horror, while Tony Ballard is primarily a mix of fantasy and horror. This alone proves Ballard's circle of friends, which consists of an ex-demon, witches, a gnome, a nettle vampire and mutants, among others.
Ballard's main enemies are currently in the hard covers Agassmea, Jan van Vermeer and Mago & Loxagon. Other old opponents from the booklet novels are also being planned for the hardcover.
The author
The novels were and are written exclusively by Friedrich Tenkrat . At first this happened under the pseudonyms A.F. Mortimer , Frederic Collins and Dean Morris , later exclusively under AF Morland . The three novels in the John Sinclair series in which Tony Ballard appears are also by Friedrich Tenkrat.
However, Tenkrat's work is not limited to the Tony Ballard series, he has written over 2000 novels of all kinds to date.
Radio plays
The radio plays for the novel series have been published by Dreamland Productions since November 2007. The highlights of the novels are set to music here. The series is occupied by well-known speakers such as Torsten Sense (Tony Ballard), Tilo Schmitz (Mr. Silver), Klaus-Dieter Klebsch (narrator), Dorette Hugo (Vicky Bonney), Katja Brügger (Roxane, the sympathetic witch), Christian Rode (Tucker Peckinpah), Simon Jäger (Frank Esslin), Wolfgang Bahro (Atax - The Devil's Soul), Martin Keßler (Mago, the hunter of renegade witches) and others. v. a.
