Tony Lopez (born February 24, 1963 in Sacramento , California , USA ) is a retired American boxer .
He was world champion of the IBF in super featherweight from 1988 to 1989 and from 1990 to 1991 and from 1992 to 1993 world champion of the IBF in lightweight . In addition, the match between him and Rocky Lockridge , which he won by unanimous decision in 1988, was named fight of the year by Ring Magazine , and in 1990 he was honored by Ring Magazine with the award Comeback of the year .
