Tony Tun Tun (born March 4, 1977 , Carolina, Puerto Rico ), real name Juan Castro, is a Puerto Rican merengue musician .

Career

Juan Castro began a musical education at the Escuela Libre de Música and played there in a philharmonic orchestra . His career began with engagements with the groups Víctor Roque y La Gran Manzana and Grupomanía, with whom he worked for four years. Then Castro changed to the group of Chica Bomba as musical director. (real name Ashley Colón) He later developed himself as a composer for the Karis groups. He wrote hits like "Manecumbé" and "Quiero hacerte el amor". His songs "Por el caminito", "Si tú te alejas" and "Tu sonrisa" were sung by Elvis Crespo and Grupo Mania. Tony Tun Tun started a solo career with the record label Cayman Records with "Caminando" as a debut album. Titles like "Fiebre", "Solo te digo", "Cuando la brisa llega" and "Caminando" were great successes in the merengue scene. The track "Cuando acaba el placer" was covered by the Brazilian pagoda band Só Prá Contrariar.
