Game dates

The preliminary round took place from 16 to 18 May 2008 and was organized centrally in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy . The final round was played on June 28th and 29th in Bois-Colombes .

mode

The twelve participating clubs were divided into two groups of six ( Groupe A and Groupe B ) and played a simple round-robin tournament in these . The number of team points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight) first decided on the placement, then the direct comparison, then the difference between winning and losing games and ultimately the number of winning games. The last two in each group were relegated to National I, while the first two in each group qualified for the final round. This was carried out in the knockout system , with third place also being played out.

decisions

French team champion: Club de Bischwiller

Semifinals

Both semi-finals saw close decisions. The defending champion Clichy had won 4-0 against Vandœuvre in the previous year's final, this time the competition ended 2-2, and since Vandœuvre won on the top board, they reached the final. In the second semi-final game, Bischwiller was on the two top boards, Bois-Colombes on the two back boards, and in fact two wins on the first two boards were the basis for Bischwiller's narrow success.

Final and 3rd place match

Clichy secured 3rd place with a clear win, while the final ended 2-2. Since Bischwiller won on the top boards, they were new champions.
