Lela Javachishvili ( Georgian ლელა ჯავახიშვილი; born April 23, 1984 in the Georgian SSR ) is a Georgian chess player . Her surname is written Javakhishvili at the World Chess Federation FIDE .
Title and rating
Since November 2003 she has held the title of Grand Master of Women (WGM). She met the required standards at the Georgian individual championship in Tbilisi in 2000 , the European Club Cup for women in 2002 in Antalya and at the European individual championship for women in 2003. The last two standards were also considered to be the norms for the title of International Master (IM), one Javachishvili fulfilled another IM standard at the women's tournament of the 2004 Chess Olympiad in Calvià , so that she was awarded the IM title in May 2005. In January 2015 she was in third place on the Georgian women's rankings, her best position on the FIDE women's world rankings was 14th in October 2007 and March 2010.
Individual championships
In 1996 she was in Rimavská Sobota second in the European girls' championship U12. She won the U14 girls' European championship in 1998 in Mureck, Austria . At the U14 World Championships for women, she came second in the same year in Oropesa del Mar, Spain . She finished third in the European U18 championship for women in Litochoro in 1999, and the youth world championship in the same age group in Oropesa del Mar in 1999 as third. At the European Youth Championships U20 women in 2001 in Rio (Achaia) she was second behind Iweta Radziewicz . In 2005 she won an international women's tournament in Sheki . In 2007 she won the Georgian women's individual championship in Tbilisi , for the second time after 2001, and for the third time in 2016.
In June 2004 she attracted attention by publishing a letter to FIDE in which she and WGM Ana Matnadze criticized various aspects of the Women's World Cup .
Team championships
National team
With the Georgian national team, she took part in the 2004 , 2006 , 2008 , 2010 , 2012 and 2014 Women's Olympics , winning a bronze medal for her score of 8.5 out of 11 on the third board in 2006, a gold medal for team victory in 2008 and one in 2010 Bronze medal with the team. At the World Team Championship women she took in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015 in part. She reached third place with the team in 2011 and won the tournament in 2015. In the individual competition, she won silver on the second board in 2007 and bronze on the third board in 2013. At the European Team Championships women took Javakhishvili also 2007, 2009, 2011 , 2013 and 2015 in part. She reached second place with the team in 2009 and third place in 2011 and 2015, in the individual ranking she won on the second board in 2009, on the reserve board in 2013 and on the third board in 2015.

She plays club chess for the NTN Tiflis club (renamed Interplast Tiflis from 2007, renamed Samaia Tbilisi from 2009 ), with which she won the European Women's Club Cup in 2004 in Izmir and in 2005 in Saint Vincent . For her result of 4 out of 5 on the third board in 2004 (Elo performance 2590), she also received an individual gold medal. She achieved another individual gold medal with Mika Yerevan at the Club Cup 2012 in Eilat for her result of 5.5 out of 7 on the fourth board. Since 2002 she has participated in the women's European Club Cup eleven times and won eight team medals (two first, four second and two third places) and four individual medals (one first and second place, two third places). In the Turkish first division, the İş Bank Turkish Super League, she plays for Antalya Çallıspor , in France since 2007 for Club de Bischwiller and won the French women's team championship in 2008 and 2015 . She also plays club chess in Romania, Croatia (for Rijeka ), China (2012 with Wuxi Huafang Construction , 2013 with Master Tianjin Nankai University , 2016 with Qingdao School and 2019 with Chongqing Jiulongpo Yucai ) and Iran (on the top board of the Iranian women's champion 2010 Persepolis ). Dschawachischwili has been playing for SK Schwäbisch Hall in the German women's Bundesliga since the 2016/17 season .
