The top 12 of 2016 was the 14th French women's chess team championship .
Champion was Évry Grand Roque , while the defending champion Club de Bischwiller had to be content with fourth place. The Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs , CE de Bois-Colombes , the Club de Poitiers-Migne Echecs and the Club de Cannes Echecs were promoted from Nationale I last year . For the reported team squad see team squad of the top 12 (women) 2016 .
Game dates
The preliminary round took place in Mulhouse from May 5 to 8, 2016 , and the final round took place in Saint-Quentin on June 25 and 26 .
mode
The twelve participating clubs play a simple round-robin tournament in two preliminary round groups with six teams each. First, the number of team points decides on the placement (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight), then the difference between winning and losing games, then the direct comparison and ultimately the number of winning games. The last two of the preliminary rounds are relegated to National I, while the top two qualify for the final round. This is carried out in the knock-out system , with third place also being played out.
Preliminary round
Groupe A
While Poitiers-Migne was prematurely relegated, the other decisions were only made in the last round.
