Evry Grand Roque

Évry Grand Roque is a French chess club in Évry .

Evry Grand Roque emerged in the early 1970s as a department of youth and cultural center of Courcouronnes . In 2001 the group was given legal independence as an association. The club has played in the top French league since 2004, and in 2009 it achieved its greatest success to date by winning the French team championship . Évry also makes a team in the French women's league and won the French women's team championship in 2006 , 2010 , 2011 , 2013 and 2016 . The strongest active players include Peter Swidler , Pavel Eljanov , Michael Adams , Fabiano Caruana , Maxime Vachier-Lagrave , Le Quang Liem , Sébastien Feller and Serhij Fedorschuk (as of January 2011).
