from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Top 12 2010/11 was the ninth French team championship in women's chess .

Champion became the defending champion Évry Grand Roque . From the National I were the Club de Les Tours de Haute Picardie , Cercle d'Echecs Bennwihr , the Association Cannes-Echecs and the Club de Echiquier Guingampais ascended. While Cannes and Haute Picardi achieved relegation, Benwihr and Guingamp had to relegate directly with the Club de JEEN and Cercle d'Echecs de Strasbourg . For the reported team squad, see Top 12 team squad (women) 2010/11 .

Game dates

The preliminary round took place from February 11th to 13th, 2011; the group A competitions were held centrally in Bennwihr , the group B competitions in Sartrouville . The final round was played on June 25th and 26th in Le Port-Maly .

mode

The twelve participating clubs were divided into two groups of six ( Groupe A and Groupe B ) and played a simple round-robin tournament in these . The number of team points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight) first decided on the placement, then the direct comparison, then the difference between winning and losing games and ultimately the number of winning games. The last two in each group were relegated to National I, while the first two in each group qualified for the final round. This was carried out in the knockout system , with third place also being played out.

Groupe A

Before the last lap, Benwihr was already relegated, while all other decisions had not yet been made. Évry and Bischwiller secured the two semi-final places, while Haute Picardie and Strasbourg were tied on places 4 and 5. The direct comparison also ended in a draw, and so Strasbourg had to relegate in the end due to the fact that Haute Picardie was victorious in the direct comparison on the top board.
