Alfred H. Kleinknecht

Alfred Herrmann Kleinknecht (* 1951 in Lehrensteinsfeld ) is a German economist who teaches in the Netherlands .
Kleinknecht has been studying economics at the Free University of Berlin since 1977 and received his doctorate from the Free University of Amsterdam in 1984 . After teaching at universities in Maastricht and Amsterdam, he held a professorship at the TU Delft from 1997 until his retirement in 2013 . In 2006 he was visiting professor at La Sapienza University in Rome and in 2009 at Université Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris. Kleinknecht was at times one of the most cited Dutch economists. Kleinknecht has been a researcher at the Economic and Social Science Institute of the trade union Hans Böckler Foundation since 2013 .
