Top Wing - Heroes with two wings (alternative title: Top Wing - The coolest team in the air ; original title: Top Wing ) is a Canadian animated cartoon series that has been produced since 2017. It was first broadcast in German-speaking countries on May 14, 2018 on Nick Deutschland . The series is aimed primarily at pre-school viewers .

The main characters of the series are the four young birds Swift (a blue jay ), Penny (a penguin girl), Brody (a puffin ) and Rod (a rooster ). The four are cadets at the Top Wing Academy on Swirl Island. They are supported by their mentor Speedy to earn their hero wings. They experience various adventures in which they also help the residents of Swirl Island over and over again. The motifs of the series are mainly based on teamwork, solving problems and social skills.

In the first season, 26 episodes with 2 episodes each were produced. In May 2018, Nickelodeon announced the production of a second season.

Others

Nickelodeon signed an agreement with toy manufacturer Hasbro in 2018 for the exclusive production of merchandising and toys for the series.
