Toplist

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A top list or top list (of English top for "beginning", "upper end") is a single Web page , on the thematically similar external websites in the form of text and / or banner links are. It serves as a link collection for the visitor and is intended to list the best external websites in descending order through its ranking . However, the order rarely has anything to do with the quality of the linked website. Much more decisive is the number of visitors and the votes generated by them, which significantly influence the ranking (sorting). First and foremost, the frequency with which a website is accessed via the toplist is decisive and / or the possibility of voting for it when visiting a website by clicking on a corresponding button . As a visitor, it should be noted that toplists are often manipulated.
